This year I have been trying to get more done, I always have lots of plans and never seem to have enough time to get to everything! As part of that I have been attempting to keep in contact with more friends and family and this means more cards to make! While I have often spent a whole evening designing a single card I am trying this month to make simple, effective and most importantly quick cards to send to all my family and friends. With that in mind I approached this weeks sketch hoping for a great idea for a card and I wasn't disappointed!
Here is this week's sketch:
Did you know that today is the wonderfully talented Sam's Birthday? I am very lucky to be before her in the blog hop and I am always so inspired by her creations! My card this week is a little celebration for her birthday. Here is what I did with the sketch:
This card is really simple and easy to put together. I was very tempted to start adding lots of extra embellishments to the card and I love that this card could be made more detailed if you wanted. But sticking to my mantra of simple, effective and quick cards I am going for less is more and now I really love it!
Sometimes as a cardmaker I forget the most important part of making a card is sending it to someone! I love sharing the joy with those I care about and letting them know I am thinking of them. I would like to think it can brighten someones day when they are feeling down and celebrate with someone when they have accomplished something. So If you are like me I encourage you this month to get back to the important part of cardmaking and send some cards to those you love, even just to say hello! For now please keep hopping over to the birthday girl Sam or backwards to the lovely Toni! Thanks for stopping by!
