Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge

Amy Fraser

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you.  The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*.  Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

Welcome to our 4th sketch challenge, can you believe we have been doing this challenge for 8 weeks now? I am really enjoying taking part in these challenges and am really getting inspired by my fellow demonstrators, I hope that I can inspire you a little today!

This weekend I am away on my yearly Christmas craft retreat with some lovely crafty lady's. Every year around christmas we get together for a weekend full of eating, drinking and catching up. It's great to have a relaxing and creative weekend early on in the Christmas season to get yourself ready for the chaos that is Christmas! This year we have all decided to make each other little presents or "swaps" and I can't wait to show you what I have made for them all once they have been given out! But first, here are the christmas cards I made for them all!

Here is this week's sketch:

This week I have made a more traditional Christmas card. Cherry Cobbler has got to be one of my favourite colours to use at Christmas time, it's such a gorgeous deep colour. I also used the lovely    Oh, What Fun stamp set which has been matched for the Oh, What Fun tag kit. I love that these stamp sets are picked to perfectly match a kit but are versatile enough to be used even when the kit is finished!

For my take on the sketch I also used some gold glimmer paper punched with the star punch from the itty bitty pinch set and finished off the card with one of the adorable reindeer paperclips from the Christmas catalogue. I love the combo of gold and red, It just makes me so excited for christmas!

I hope that you are finding time to create this weekend and maybe take on this weeks sketch for your Christmas cards. I would love to see any cards you have made! In the meantime for inspiration please keep hopping along with our lovely group of ladies!

See you in two weeks!
